Foreclosed Homes for Sale
Foreclosed homes for sale are also known as an REO (Real Estate Owned) or Bank Owned property. This occurs when the owner of a home does not make their payments in a timely manner (or not at all), and the bank or lender is forced to take the home back. The foreclosed home is then put up for sale and is sometimes at a lower than market value.
Bank owned homes properties for sale are a great way to purchase a home. But be aware that it's not the only way. Sometimes purchasing a short sale can offer better savings than foreclosures for sale can.
